Rose Lindsay
Rose is a seasoned litigator and adjunct law professor. She spent the first season of her career in federal court as an assistant federal public defender in Chicago, Illinois. She represented hundreds of indigent clients accused of federal crimes from arrest through appeal in the Northern District of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Rose consistently achieved significant victories for her clients, including acquittals at trial, substantial sentence reductions, favorable plea deals, and appellate victories. During Rose’s time in Chicago, she also taught at her alma mater, Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Rose taught first-year legal writing, appellate writing, and a course she co-created on defending a federal criminal case. When life brought Rose back to her home state of Utah, she shifted gears to focus on civil litigation. Before joining Employer-Lawyer, she developed a passion for employment-related matters while working for a nonprofit organization on behalf of disabled individuals and at a large national defense firm. Rose has adeptly helped her clients navigate claims under the ADA, FMLA, Title VII, and other employment-related laws. She has litigated in federal and state court on behalf of many aggrieved employees and has defended numerous large corporations and small businesses in litigation, achieving favorable outcomes with her keen attention to detail, negotiation style, and strategic litigation.
In addition to advocating for her clients, Rose enjoys teaching at the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, where she teaches a course on federal courts and the federal judiciary.
Rose earned her law degree at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Before law school, she also earned degrees at the University of Utah and Brigham Young University.
When Rose is not practicing law or teaching, she can be found spending time with family and friends, enjoying recreation in the mountains, studying languages, and planning her next international travel adventure.
