Last week our newsletter addressed the importance of holding an annual training about sexual harassment and anti-discrimination in the workplace. While holding a training is not required by law, businesses are legally required to have visible, up-to-date posters with information from the state and federal agencies. The following posters are required to be posted in your workplace:
Federal Posters:
- Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) with minimum wage and hour
- Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- Employee Polygraph Protection Act
- Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA)
- Uniformed Services Employment and Re-employment Rights Act (USERRA)
- Discrimination
Utah state posters:
- Pregnancy and related discrimination
- Utah Occupational Safety and Health (UOSH)
- Unemployment Insurance
- Workers' Compensation
It is important to have the correct posters in a visible location for all employees as there are penalties for not displaying them in your workplace. If your employees work remotely, you must have an electronic billboard where employees can access the posters digitally. If you need the current posters, please reach out and we will send them your way!
